Unique Features of Middle States Soccer Camp

Varsity Circuit

A special program available each week to high school age campers who are either recommended by a Middle States staff member or who submit a letter of reference from their high school or club coach. These players will participate in advanced training and extra sessions with our Director of Coaching in lieu of skills contests. In addition to the regular curriculum, the Varsity Circuit provides sophisticated tactical instruction in a competitive environment. There is an additional $60 fee for this program.

Goalkeeper Training

Middle States is known for its intense and demanding goalkeeper program. Throughout most of the day, our goalkeepers work separately to receive the specialized training necessary for their position. They concentrate both on the development of individual goalkeeping skill as well as the tactical aspects of play in a team environment. All goalkeepers are closely observed by their trainers during the team matches.

Wendell E. Broad Memorial Scholarship

For 14 years, until his death in 1990, Wendell Broad was the Business Manager of Middle States Soccer Camp. He was a tireless worker whose dedication, understanding and commitment to excellence were instrumental in the camp's success. In his memory, Middle States has developed a scholarship fund to assist economically disadvantaged boys and girls who wish to attend. College Guidance

Every week at Middle States there is a presentation by the director on the college selection process. For those high school players who hope to continue at the intercollegiate level, our College Counseling Service provides personalized guidance, as well as references and direct interaction with college coaches.
