In
our 4th decade!
As we begin our 35th consecutive summer, Middle States Soccer
Camp has consolidated from 7 weeks into 4 so that all of our sessions
will be more focused and intense. Once again, there will be a specific
theme each week:
We will be running two GOALSCORING/SPECIALIZED GOALKEEPING
CAMPS, which emphasize playing in the final third and finishing:
- June
22-26 at Eastern University in St. David’s, PA, and
- July
27-31 at St. Andrew’s School in Middletown, DE.
St. Andrew’s School (July
20-25) is also the location of our PREMIER PLAYER/
GOALKEEPER CAMP for boys and girls, many of whom have
aspirations to play in college.
August 3-7 is the date of our PRE-SEASON
TRAINING CAMP at Westtown School in Westtown, PA. This
demanding week is an excellent opportunity to get ready for the
fall season.
We have re-organized our personnel
and added a number of new coaches, particularly college coaches,
to provide a better experience in all respects for our campers. Our
recently appointed Director
of Coaching is Drew Hoffman, Men’s Soccer Coach
at Washington College (Chestertown, MD).
Drew is in charge of all training and staff assignments. Our Site
Directors are Matt
Zipin, Boys Soccer Coach at Germantown Friends School (Philadelphia, PA)
and Brian Derrickson, Boys and Girls Soccer Coach at Middletown High
School (Middletown, DE). Matt will be in charge of our two Pennsylvania sites (Eastern and Westtown),
while Brian will coordinate the activities at St. Andrew’s. Peri
Holmes is beginning her first full year as our Office
Manager. She
will be more than happy to assist with registration or with any other
concerns that anyone might have.
We are excited about the 2008 season
and look forward to
having you with us.
Richard Broad, Director
